Sneakers from Puma

Puma is from 1948 and was started by Rudolf Dassler, the same year the first Puma football boots were made. The Puma sneakers we know today first appeared in the early 1970s when basketball player Clyde Drexler asked if he could get a pair of Puma Suede to play in. They modified the Puma shoe a little and the Puma Suede became the Puma Clyde. However, the Puma Suede is still the biggest sneaker Puma has. For example, it celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017. Puma has had a massive impact not only in the world of sports, but also in different cultures - the Puma Suede, for example, played a major role in the Hip Hop environment where it was used for breakdancing.
