Solomon

From alpine workshops to city streets

Salomon didn't start as a streetwear brand.
On the contrary.

The brand was founded in 1947 in the French Alps, where the focus was simple: to make equipment that worked in demanding terrain. Ski bindings, boots and later running shoes – all developed with performance, durability and movement at the heart.

That approach still holds true.

Today, Salomon has become a permanent part of the cityscape, but the DNA is the same. Technical function first. Comfort without compromise. Design that comes directly from needs – not trends.

From trail to everyday life

Models like the XT series, ACS and XA Pro were originally developed for long distances, uneven terrain and changing weather. Features like the Quicklace system, stable soles and technical materials are not embellishments - they are solutions.

That is precisely why they work so well in everyday life.
The city just has different requirements than the mountains.

Cobblestones, asphalt, rain, long days on your feet. Salomon shoes are built to last – and to be used.

Why they make sense at Packyard

We see Salomon as a natural link between outdoor and everyday use. Shoes that can do more, but still fit into a wardrobe with jeans, workwear and casual silhouettes.

Our current selection ranges from iconic classics to more technical models – all rooted in the same philosophy: functional design that doesn't need to explain itself.

In short

Salomon has not become relevant in the city by accident.
This has happened because good design, well-thought-out function and durable materials always find their way – whether on a mountain trail or on the way through the city.
