Texture, contrast and a bit of calm throughout
This week's Outfit of the Week is less about layers and more about surfaces. Different textures, distinct materials and a color palette that stays calm. An outfit that works best when it's not explained too much.
The focus here is on fit and fabric – and on how the clothes fall when worn.

Shirt
Mattress Patchwork Relaxed Shirt
A shirt with a distinct character. The patchwork pattern adds life and variety, but in a subdued way that still keeps the outfit together. The relaxed fit makes it easy to wear – either closed or slightly open.
Overshirt
Julius Mineral Dyed Oversize Shirt – Espresso
An oversized shirt in a deep, dark brown tone. The mineral-colored surface gives the fabric a slightly worn look and lots of depth. Wear it alone or as an extra layer to create contrast with the patchwork shirt.
The pants
Edwin Wide Pant – Kaihara Black Denim, Unwashed
Wide pants in black, untreated Japanese denim. Heavy in expression and with lots of structure. They pull the outfit together and provide balance to the more vibrant tops.

This outfit is built around contrasts that don't make a lot of noise. Pattern versus solid. Soft versus heavy. Structure versus calm. It's a look that works best when it's allowed to be a little open and imperfect.
Clothes that don't need an occasion.
And which gets better the more it is used.
